AV Alta FC opened their 2025 USL League One season in dramatic style, earning a memorable 2-0 win over Westchester SC before a capacity crowd of 5,433 at Lancaster Municipal Stadium. The result not only fired up the fans — it also secured the first league victory in club history, fueled by clinical finishing and a rock-solid defensive display.

The action ignited early. In the 9th minute, Emmanuel Chinemeren Alaribe calmly slotted home the opening goal, sending the home faithful into a frenzy. Not long after, Jimmie Villalobos added a second in the 27th minute, capping off a fluid attacking sequence that showcased AV Alta’s tactical sharpness and intent.

Though the box score credits AV Alta’s defense with just two saves, it was Carlos Avilez who quietly stole the show. The experienced keeper brought poise and command to every moment — organizing his backline, claiming crosses with ease, and stepping up in key moments to smother threats in the box. His vocal presence and quick decision-making were critical in keeping a clean sheet, and his four total saves proved decisive in preserving the lead.

Much of the evening’s energy flowed from The 661 Supporter’s Group, who transformed Lancaster Municipal Stadium into a cauldron of sound and spirit. From constant chants and vibrant flags to plumes of smoke and pounding drums, the supporters embodied their mission: lifting the local game and powering AV Alta FC every step of the way. On a night of firsts, The 661 Supporter’s Group were the soul of the celebration.
